Currently when a new message arrives for a conversation with a conversation browser in the background (ie. a conversation that has already been selected), the message is 'displayed' into the DOM of the conversation. In addition to the DOM manipulations, on some message themes, this triggers CSS transitions. All of this should be avoided to save power.
