Steps to reproduce:

In the 'all history' window, I selected a few thousand items and deleted them all at once.

Actual results:

The UI froze for up to 5 minutes. It seems to freeze for longer if I search for a domain, select all and delete, than if I delete about the same number of items by right clicking a month in the sidebar.

Expected results:

Don't freeze. Maybe delete stuff in a different thread?

I found a couple related bugs (432706, 681420) but they were closed many years ago.
