153416 - chinese subject, not reflected in compose window title until a space entered

mail:compose window - non-ascii title remains no subject, not updated
Platform: JA linux 7.1

Step:
1. start mail composer
2. Enter Japanese chars in subject field.
3. Enter some chars in body.

Actual Result:Compose window title still reads "Compose: (no subject). 

Expected Result: Title should change to the chars entered in step 2.

Note: If ascii chars used for subject, it works fine.

I'm not sure if this is the dup of bug 60917 since now I'm seeing this on
windows platform.
On Simplified Chinese Windows XP, I still see this problem.

Revised Steps:
1. start mail composer
2. Using Chinese IME, enter Simplified Chinese chars in subject field.
3. Enter some chars in body.
4. Notice that the subject is not displayed in the compose window title.
Instead, it still reads "no subject".
5. As soon as I change to EN IME, SC chars are showing in the title.

Naoki, could you take a look into this?

Note: On JA windows XP, I coudln't reproduce this problem. I'm only seeing this
on SC windows XP. I'll try Linux and differenct flavor of windows and update
the bug

I used Neima (number based), Quanpin and Shuangpin. They all showed the same
problem.

I narrowed down the problem a bit more.
1. Enter SC chars in the subject.
2. Hit a space key. Do this before you move your cursor to the main body.
In order words, if you put a space right after SC chars in the subject, the
compose window title will show the same SC chars.

isn't that similar then to bug #97521? The 8-bit chars are not showing up until

I think there are two different issues.

1. The original bug described for JA linux is in fact a dup of bug 60917 since
JA chars are displayed in the compose window title only by turning off IME .
Let's ignore this part.

2. The other issue discussed in comment#3 and #6 happens only on SC windows. I'm
going to turn this bug into this problem. As Marina suggested, it might be a dup
of bug 97521. If it's the case, close this bug as such.
