Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.14; rv:65.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/65.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Focus the address bar
  2. Type something in, doesn't matter what
  3. Click the refresh button directly to the left
The address bar should show the current page url. It should also still be focused.
  4. Press enter

Actual results:

It searches the something you typed in earlier in whatever search engine you have active.

Expected results:

It should have loaded the page with the url shown in the address bar (essentially refreshing the page)

Component: Untriaged → Address Bar
Summary: Address bar value not updating → After entering text in the address bar, "Reload", and "Enter", previous text is being searched for instead of displayed URL

yes, this is a bit unexpected, since we are loading a page we should either not overwrite the urlbar contents, or blur it. I don't think there's spoofing risk here considered the involved actions.

I think this is fixed now, can someone confirm?

Yes, I can't reproduce this now either. Maybe quantumbar fixed it. I'll close this. Thanks!
