Details

The current depends_on field is a simple array of bug IDs, but Emma says it would be nice if it’s categorized by bug type. We need a new field to keep the backward compatibility, and it would look like:

    "depends_on": [1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9],
    "depends_on_typed": {
        "defect": [1,2,3],
        "enhancement": [4,5,6],
        "task": [7,8,9]
    }
}

Couldn't we just look at the data for the bugs in depends_on to tell their type? This would reduce the complexity.

Hm, yeah, we probably don’t need it. If we do this for depends_on, all other bug ID fields have to follow, making things complicated.
