153490 - IMAP downloading incorrect number of messages

I'm using Mozilla 1.0 RC1 with version string as follows:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.0rc1) Gecko/20020417


The email server if that ends up mattering is Merak Mail Server Version:
3.10.110 Pro


Mozilla is messing up the inbox download of one of my IMAP accounts...

Every second time it checks mail, it says I have X number of new messages when
none, in fact, are new.

I can reproduce this by clicking on the "root" of the account, then clicking the
"inbox".  The correct number of messages are downloaded.  Then I repeat this
process, and I get "steve has 8 new messages" (it's not always 8).  This happens
with automatic checking of email as well (I have it set to 5 minutes right now).

A log file from my IMAP server of the 2 exchanges follows.. note that a command
is sent from mozilla that apparently is requesting specific messages...  I don't
know the IMAP RFC though, so.. maybe I'm misinterpreting what I'm reading.

Confirming as this is happening to me on 2 systems. I have a folder that says it
has 10 new messages when it really has none. This is in 2002123004 trunk.

Duping. This is older than the bug, but it's duping but someone's running with
the other one and it has more information.
