User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:66.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/66.0
Steps to reproduce:
open Firefox 66.0 beta, check for updates, it downloads a 47 MB patch, restart Firefox.
Actual results:
still version 66.0... no increase/change in version number.
Expected results:
Noticable change in version number.

Hi Daniel, I tested this issue on Win 10 using 66 Beta 14 and in my case the Beta updated correctly to 67 Beta 1. Also, I tried on the 68 Nightly 2019/03/19 and the update works correctly. Can you please retest this with Beta Firefox? and if you want you can try to test this on Nightly, here is the link for download https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/nightly/all/
I don't know what Beta version was released on 16 march 2019, but that version was the only affected one or me. I will re-open this bug if I notice this happening again in the future.
