User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:66.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/66.0
Steps to reproduce:
In Windows 10, I right-clicked on the Firefox icon (either when pinned to Start or the taskbar) to view the context menu.
Actual results:
The "Open new tab", "Open new window", and "New private window" tasks are displaying the old, pre-quantum icons.
Expected results:
I was expecting these icons to match those under the Firefox menu.

Ideally these icons should be white with the dark theme enabled and black with the white theme in Windows 1903.

Considering that the current GUI doesn't appear to use any iconography for such actions in the Firefox GUI itself, does this remain necessary? (I don't use Windows.)

Probably still relevant, I believe the jump list is still a thing in Windows 11.
The icons are here:

https://searchfox.org/mozilla-central/search?q=newwindow.ico&case=true
https://searchfox.org/mozilla-central/search?q=pbmode.ico&case=true

Yes, but my point is that wouldn't be put no icons there if they aren't being used in the main GUI (probably worth closing the issue to create one about removing them if they remain) or should we correlate them to some system icons (thus leaving this open)?

Please be aware that competitor browsers do use Icons on these items.

acid.crash.lv@gmail.com, your example demonstrates Microsoft Edge using action-specific icons, though.

The original request was about the fact that Firefox has the following items in Windows context menu:
- new tab;
- new window
- new private window.
These items had outdated icons after latest redesign.
As for now valid icons for "new window" and "new private window" do exist within Firefox.
Please see attachment from customization menu of Firefox
The examples I shared have similar behavior:
- new window
- new private window
So I believe This is a valid example that describes why Firefox should have these icons.
