User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:65.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/65.0
Steps to reproduce:
I usually have the Lightning add-on deactivated.
I want to add that I have installed the Lightning add-on (and used it for a short time) before it was shipped as a 'standard' add-on with Thunderbird.
Actual results:
After each up update of Thunderbird, Lightning is active and asks for log-in.
Expected results:
I expect that Thunderbird respects my add-on settings. An add-on that is de-activated before updating should stay de-activated after the update.

I'm not an expert but this may be the issue. Does this help? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/calendar-updates-issues-thunderbird#w_lightning-reappears-after-a-thunderbird-update-although-i-opted-out-release-and-beta-versions

Is the issue still present even on 60.7? If so, I'm curious if resetting extensions.installedDistroAddon.{e2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103} per the instructions at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/calendar-updates-issues-thunderbird would help?

Sorry for replying so late.
Actually, I deleted/uninstalled the Lightning add-on since it seemed that this was the only way to get rid of the annoying problem.
So this issue may be closed.
