This is first time I have been on this "bug" page and it appears that my request to "fix" this so called bug has a lot of past history.
I could not find "original" comment on bug as not aware of the terminology used. …
I have been using T bird since Eudora folded and had been using Eudora since it first came into existence, and it was the "only" decent email program....
I have an email list that holds several hundred email addresses for members of a club, that can change on an annual basis and needs to be updated as required.... I keep the " master list" as a top level address book, and have a number of sub mailing lists under it depending on the requirements to contact various sections / members... eg a list that contains addresses for committee members only, or State Reps ….

When updating these lists I CAN NOT import the information in to the "Master List" as a sub list as I need to …
To me this is a BUG that needs to be fixed …

IF NOT …. WHY NOT ….????

and I do not want to read the ancient history of why it can not be / was not done …!!!!
