Steps to reproduce:

  • Create a new profile
  • Close Firefox
  • Delete that profile folder
  • Open Firefox again and go to about:profiles

Actual results:

"This profile is in use in another application and it cannot be deleted."

I had to create an empty folder with the same name in order to be able to delete the profile.

Expected results:

The user should be able to remove the profile after manually deleting its folder.
