Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 12_1_4 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/12.0 Mobile/15E148 Safari/604.1

Steps to reproduce:

I wish Firefox on macOS would support iCloud bookmarks. Hence Apple provides the extension only for Windows it would be a great opportunity for Firefox to provide built-in Support.

Hi! Apple's iCloud bookmarks extension talks to a private helper (presumably bundled with iCloud for Windows) using native messaging. Poking around some more, iCloud apparently uses a custom protocol that's neither standardized nor documented, so we'd be on the hook for any breakages. Short of reverse-engineering their helper and protocol, I don't think there's a way we can support that. The closest we can do is import bookmarks from Safari, and sync them using Firefox Sync.

So this is a WONTFIX, but thanks for taking the time to file the issue!
