DTMO documentation should be updated to clarify that, for DAU and MAU (and aDAU):

The DAU for a particular date (for example, 2019-3-16), should be the number of active users on 2019-3-16. We aren’t, of course, able to observe this until 2019-3-16 is over, thus on 2019-3-17. But if plotted, the value should be plotted at the point labeled 2019-3-16 on the x-axis.

Similarly, MAU for a particular date (again, 2019-3-16 for example) should be the number of active users in the 28-day window ending on (and including) 2019-3-16. This, again, is not available until 2019-3-17.

mreid and dzielaski have signed off on this.

To be clear this is due to some confusion in which some people thought that MAU should be measured using a window ending the day before the metric date.
