Steps to reproduce:
After I updated Firefox to the latest 2 versions (66.0.2 (64-bit)) today, Firefox begins to become so laggy that it will become virtually impossible to operate properly. This did not happen yesterday, only today after the firefox has updated.
Actual results:
I used Firefox for approximately 3-4 hours, then after this time the entire browser will begin to freeze completely solid or become inoperably laggy for approximately 3 minutes, with breaks in between. If it freezes, even Windows will more often than not freeze as well, and sometimes even the cursor and Num lock becomes inoperable (Hard freeze.)

Hi mrex, Thanks for taking the time to report this issue, we want to get to the bottom of it but we need a bit more information.
First things first: Does this issue occur for you in safe mode ? here is a link that might help you https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode.
Are there any Add-ons installed? can you give us the list of Addons currently installed on your Firefox.
and last but not least can you please record a Performance profile of this issue, you have the steps here:

I Tried updating Firefox from an older version to Firefox 66.0.2 but with a fresh profile and I couldnt experience any issues while browsing at work, I do however have an 8th core cpu with 16 Gb of ram so it might not be that reliable on my End, hopefully your info will help us get to the bottom of this issue.
Shutting the running Firefox will solve the problem temporaily, and it happens after some time of use, around 5 hours. I've saw it once where it says Reddit Enchancement Suite is causing the slowdown.

In That case it seems it might be related to the extensions, but we still need a performance profile for it I think. I'll set the Component to Extensions Compatibility.

Firefox starts having severe input lag (from key presses and mouse input) and culminates with the browser freezing and needing a restart. This takes approximately 20 minutes from the restart of the browser https://www.prepaidgiftbalance.vip/

Marking this as Resolved > wfm since I cannot reproduce the issue using the latest Fx versions, there are no new updates on it for 1 year and it might not be relevant anymore. Feel free to re-open if the issue is still reproducible on your end in the latest FF versions.
