User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.14; rv:66.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/66.0

Steps to reproduce:

When connecting to a website, you can see the destination URL in the bottom left corner.

Actual results:

In case the webpage doesn't load, you change to another tab and return to the tab where the webpage isn't loading, the destination URL in the bottom left corner has disappeared.

Expected results:

The destination URL should be displayed even when changing to another tab and returning back.

I have attempted to reproduce the issue described, but I could not. I have input the URL of a page that takes quite a while to load in the address bar, then I tap enter, focus any other tab and come back to the first one. The navigation URL is still displayed in the bottom-left corner of the webpage.

Please provide more detailed steps to reproduce. Which website are you using so it would not load?

Thank you for your contribution!

See an example video attached. WiFi is interrupted. Destination disappears when returning to the reference tab.

I have attempted to confirm your issue using the throttling feature from the Network tab of Developer Tools (because our internet speed is very fast) and the exact steps seen in the video. Still cannot reproduce. Please try to reproduce this in a newly created profile. You have the steps here:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Managing-profiles#w_starting-the-profile-manager

Also, please tell us what OS are you using and which Firefox Browser version.

Sorry, expected you to be able to read the description. It's Mac OS X Mojave 10.14.

The host destination field appears randomly when switching between a new and loading tab while continuously blocking the internet connection e.g. by firewall. You could try this even with a very fast internet connection.

I can now confirm the reproduction described now.

When the user refreshes a webpage, then focuses another tab (may even be a newly opened tab) and then focuses back on the tab that was being refreshed and is still refreshing, he will notice that the action and URL displayed at the bottom left part of the content section of the browser has disappeared and won't be shown again, unless the action changes.

This issue could only be reproduced with the Network Throttling feature from Web Developer tools.

Also, this issue occurs on all Operating Systems and All Browser Versions.

I do not know whether this issue cand actually be considered valid, but a developer can have this opinion in the sequel.

Thank you for your contribution!
