Hello, I have Logitech's mouse model M-BA47 (USB, but there are also PS/2), this
mouse has an additional button that do the same action(go back one page in
browser) like the keyboard's Backspace key. This feautre works in windows 98 and
above.
The thing is, I use that key alot, and it's really uncomfortable to stop using
it and probably there are another mouse models that have similar buttons.
I don't need to install the Logitech's driver suite to use this option, it works
by default. The driver suite is heavy and takes lots of memory and I don't
really like using it, maybe it can solve this issue, but if it's not a big
trouble to make it work like in explorer/IE it will be great.

Thank you for the attention

Schwartz Alex, Israel

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Try to use the same key as in the explorer(not IE) as this button works in the
windows explorer and in the folder's browsing menus.
2.
3.
Changing component to "XP Apps: GUI Features" and marking NEW, changing severity
to enhancement, and marking blocking Bug 70501.

There is a lot of controversy about what the middle mouse button ought to do.
Most *nix systems use this as a shortcut for paste. But perhaps if you are
clicking on a non-pastable area, then the page should go back? Bugs 154050,
137190, and 70501 (meta-tracking bug) have more information.
