User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Android 7.0; Mobile; rv:66.0) Gecko/66.0 Firefox/66.0

Steps to reproduce:

Open firefox
Go to search bar
Type "https://jiocinema.com"
You will not play any video on firefox

Now open chrome
Do same process
You will easily play videos .
After sign in

Actual results:

Firefox not compatible from many of sites
I think many of web designer are designing their website according compatibility of chrome not according firefox

Expected results:

jiocinema.com should open well in Firefox as chrome

It looks like without a Jio account users cannot play videos, and restrictions on signup mean that I cannot easily get an account to test with. B.R.Shrikrishnasharnam, are you aware of any videos on the site that work without signing in? Otherwise we'll need to investigate getting access to debug the site.

Reaching out to the website by email care@jio.com.

The reporter could also test with a user agent switching add-on in Firefox. With the user agent set to Chrome mobile, then reload the site, it would be interesting to know the results.

It should add DRM permission turn on by default in Firefox for Android because of when I try to open jiocinema in my PC than Firefox again not playing video after login but a pop-up on left side appear and ask to grant play DRM content permission .
I has granted and surprised that video play in Firefox but only in PC not in Android because of in Android not ask for permission grant.

So I think it should be default on in Firefox otherwise design Firefox of Android as it appears to ask grant permission for DRM protected contents play

Based on comment 3, this sounds like it's an Android DRM support issue. I'm going to mark this as a dupe of bug 1506924, which tracks us supporting DRM on non-nightly Android releases.

Firefox nightly for Android also not play videos on site on night play 2 - 3 second and after video gonna crash and report video can not be played (error code 244002

For the Nightly crashes, could you navigate to about:crashes and copy the URL for the crash report here? It would help us investigate why it's not working there.

Now jiocinema.com not play in nightly also. It should expect to turn on
DRM permission granted by default in Firefox in Android version.

It's still not resolved , jiocinema.com still not play on Firefox android but play on desktop Firefox after granting DRM permission but surprisingly not popup for DRM permission in Firefox android , I think please enable DRM permission by default or make it popup for permission grant for DRM content on android also

It's still not resolved kindly look into the matter seriously.

You're saying this worked in nightly on Android but no longer does? If you navigate to about:config and set media.eme.require-app-approval to false, does it work again?

about:config → media.eme.enabled → true works fine now jiocinema.com play seemles awesome experience thank you very much because of your navigation advice I'll fix it thanks to all of you fine persons here for helping me. Deep respect... HARE KRISHNA
