In various bits of Gecko, we have the assumption that there is a single default audio device.

This is not quite true, on Windows there is a default communication device, and a default device, we should make amendments to the about:support page, and various other locations to reflect reality.

Sounds like this depends on other work and may be a fair undertaking: P3. Paul, please adjust upwards if you think we'll get this sorted in the next few releases.
