User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/60.0

Steps to reproduce:

Hi,
Using Windows 10 1803.

Firefox has added this option to auto-open when closed by Windows shutdown in release 61.x (not talking about the one to always be started by Windows).

ESR is following 60.x , and this new option is missing. It is really a useful option, and I like to request this as an enhancement to ESR release.

Can you please port it from 61.x?

Actual results:

Firefox is not integrated to Windows startup Manager, and just - will never auto-start when Windows starts up.

Expected results:

When Firefox is OPEN when Windows shuts down, it should auto-start with Windows (if the option is set).

By now Firefox68 ESR has been released, so I think this feature should now be available for you.

By now Firefox68 ESR has been released, so I think this feature should now be available for you.
Most likely, but the report was on 60.x (60.9.0 now). The whole idea behind ESR release, that you can stick to it for years, and not upgrade.

Let me ask this: is 60.9 the last version in this track? If so, what you are suggesting - makes sense. If not, an you plan on supporting 60.x for a while, I believe you should implement this Windows startup management for it as well.

Thanks

Rafi

Yes, once a new ESR version is released, in this case 68.x, there will be no more updates to the old version, 60.x. It's highly recommended to upgrade to this newer ESR for stability, security and performance reasons.

Ok, understood. If this is your recommendation, maybe offer the option to update 60.x ESR to 68.x ESR track inside 60.x ? I mean always as a manual option, not automatic? Possibly release a new 60.10 ESR that will offer that option?
