Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:66.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/66.0
Steps to reproduce:
Go to our Jira at https://www.myjira.nl/
I don't think just anyone can get access, but the gist is to access some instance of Jira. We're at version 7.13.1 - that might help to know.
Actual results:
When you open any page, there's a chance that it might freeze Firefox entirely. Not exactly to have it dim the window and say "Not responding" in the title bar, but it isn't responding in any meaningful way.
The only way to close Firefox at this point, is to kill it using the task manager.
Expected results:
Should just work. Or at least freeze the tab only, not the whole browser.
This is keeping me from doing my job, making this a pretty severe issue for me. Having to resort to using Chrome or Edge is a viable workaround, but a very undesirable one, because it's still a hassle to constantly be switching browsers.
Hi reporter,
Thank you for taking the time to add this report.
Unfortunately, I was not able to reproduce the freeze that you mentioned on the latest Firefox release build or Nightly build.
Logging into Jira works fine for me.
You could try to retest using the latest FF release and latest Nightly build (https://nightly.mozilla.org/) with a clean profile (https://goo.gl/PNe90E), and if the issue reproduces, collect and report any info you might think is relevant to the behavior. (like an error in the Browser Console or maybe a dump report). Maybe you could add a crash report using the instructions at https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/How_to_report_a_hung_Firefox.

Hey Martijn, this has been sitting for a week now - if we can't get any information in the next few days we'll have to close this. But please feel free to reopen it if you can add any details which might help us diagnose it!
