That way we only have 1 entry script for fetching data.

Alexandru was asking for help in the Treeherder channel about getting backend development working with the UPSTREAM_DATABASE_URL. The pr that introduced this was merged 6 months ago but we still don't have documentation on it and so we are not able to help anyone if they run into problems.

Ionut, can you please prioritize updating the docs with details on how to use this script? If the script isn't working, there should be comments in the code base explaining that or it should be removed entirely until it is.
