The right-click context-sensitive menu for image links do not have the option to
"Save image as". Have a look at http://www.unb.ca/ -- The context sensitive
menu offers "Properties", wherein one can select the image, but it is not as
quick-and-easy as a "Save Image As" in the context menu.

Additionally, image-maps (of which the only examples I have are intranet), do
not have a "Properties" context menu option. They have "View Page Source" &
"[ibid] Info", but there is no (obvious) way to save the image without opening
the source.

I humbly suggest an image submenu for all images, likeso:
Image ->
 - Save Image As
 - Send Image
 - Set As Wallpaper
 - Properties
 *- Open With ... [registered image viewers/editors submenu]
 *- Personal Images -> ... [folder submenu, like mail folders]

* these options are "real" work, and wishful thinking, and really belong under
an "enhancement" category. I would classify the image link problem as trivial,
and the image map problem is minor. YMMV. ;)

Cheers
