[Notes]:
- This issue is reproducible after the UI of the doorhanger changed in Firefox 51. It was not reproducible using the old UI from Firefox 50.
- After running a regression check using mozregression, it appears that one of the issues from this pushlog introduced the issue.
[Affected versions]:
- Firefox Version 51.0a1 and above
[Affected Platforms]:
- All Windows
- All Mac
- All Linux
[Steps to reproduce]:
- Open the browser and navigate to a website (eg. www.facebook.com).
- Fill the login fields and click the "Log in" button.
- Click anywhere on the page content to dismiss the doorhanger.
- Click the "Open save password message panel" button from the left of the awesomebar.
- Observe the behavior.
[Expected result]:
- The doorhanger is opened and all fields are displayed.
[Actual result]:
- The doorhanger is opened and the "Show password" checkbox and string are not displayed.
[Additional Notes]:
- This issue is also reproducible on the "Would you like to update this login?" doorhanger.
- Attached a screen recording of the issue.

This is an intentional behaviour change from bug 1178855 to reduce the impact of someone snooping through a user's dismissed password doorhangers.
