Details
(Whiteboard: [bcs:p3])
- Open Fennec (Nightly) and load a couple of pages.
- Switch to a different Android app for a while
- Come back to Fennec, and load a page.
Result:
The browser loading indicator hangs, and nothing loads. The rest of the browser is responsive though (tab switching works, etc.).
The only way to get Fennec to load pages again is by closing and reopening the app.

Let's see if we can reproduce this on 67 and 66. Then see if related Gecko bugs might address this.

According to Andreas, he's seeing it a bit less. Perhaps QA can test a bit more around to help if engineering can't get to it.
This was on on One Plus 5.

Sorina - Have you seen this at all in your testing?

Hi,
The loading indicator that hangs sometimes is reproducible but the page is responsive.
Here are two videos with the behavior on Nightly and Beta following the steps from the description. I'll ni Mira to check as well on OnePlus on Thursday.
Nexus 5 (Android 6.0.1) - Nightly - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bmVnHxgz2y6twgpBuSOPYiATO6M4coZP/view?usp=sharing
Nokia 6 (Android 7.1.1) - Beta - https://drive.google.com/file/d/168OevmW8Yc-I8CfSfBcqqDTUrl531zGj/view?usp=sharing
Update: On Nokia, I was able to reproduce the results from the description but the device was closed for 10-15 min with Firefox in background.

Hello, I tried to reproduce this issue using OnePlus 5T (Android 9) but without any success.
Build:
- Beta 67.0b16;
- Nightly 68.0a1 (2019-05-01);

For what its worth, Andreas reported not seeing this anymore.
As suspected, this may depend on the device. Needing more input on devices and downgrading in the meantime.

Time this happens mostly when I open links from other apps in the background. I then have to close the app from the settings and re-open it.
