1547002 - encrypted draft becomes empty after editing

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:66.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/66.0

Steps to reproduce:

Set an account as a POP
Write a new mail
Close it via ctrl-w and save it as a draft
Open the draft creatd

Actual results:

While To and Subject are completed, the message body i blank. The draft is lost.

Expected results:

The write window should be opened with, inside, the mail you have written.

(Fortunately) I cannot reproduce this. I believe we have tests that save drafts and open them, so the alarms would have gone on.

No, drafts preserve fine for me, including body.

Unfortunately I still reproduce after the last update. What could I do to help you? How can I get a "trace" or useful feedback to identify what is the problem in my environment? If it affcts just me, not so grave, but I am worry if others with a similar environment live this.

I am on a Debian Unstable system (not using their Mozilla packages).

Is this a plain text draft or a HTML draft? I talked to Aceman had he confirmed that we have tests for saving and re-editing drafts. So we don't ever shit anything with that function not working. Are there any add-ons at play?

Thanks for the suggestions. I reported quickly to ensure we could bibsect easily if needed.

But the bug does not seem to be related to TB. Enigmail is responsible. A recent change in TB may have caused this critical new behavior.

Yes, I am on daily too.

You should be able to change the status of your own bug report - at the bottm of the page find "Save Changes" button with "Resolve as..." just to the right

The bug report is not quite correct.

The draft is saved correctly (and encrypted if configured). However, upon editing the draft, you get an empty message if the draft is encrypted. That's a bug in Enigmail, that I fixed now.
