Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:48.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/48.0

Steps to reproduce:

Set wav 24 bit sound longer than 1 hour (feature request/glitch)

Expected results:

Program plays looped sound
I need this feature to notice the notification while I am out somewhere, I have looped notify sound on my mobile (symbian&android)
Would be nice if I have been able to log in and use google calendar natively on Mac Pro 1.1 device with older version (49.0 is latest working for devices of this type)

Workaround: save as 8000GHz 8 bit WAV file (around 12mb per 25 minutes), but its constantly looped until the right click event

OS X 10.7 is not supported. Thunderbird 60 supports 10.9 and above https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/60.0/system-requirements/

You do not describe why the file doesn't work for you.
Is your issue OS version specific?

Summary: [Glitch] Mozilla Thunderbird / Parallels / Cannot Set Sound in Wav24bit longer than 1 hour - please fix it → Cannot Set Sound in Wav24bit longer than 1 hour

Forgot to mention I used version 60 (Windows 7 x86) using virtualisation x86-64. The file in 32000GHZ 32bit WAVE file isn't played. The 8000GHz 8 bit one is played well and sound can be stopped using right click (it'd be better if maintained by stop sound button in menu bar).
I think thunderbird 49.0 (nightly) should be updated to allow access to gmail and google calendar. Mac Pro isn't going to support any Mac >10.7 at least not without hacking the BIOS (high risk of hardbricking motherboard, no replacement chips and BIN files (due to the patents)). Also the program should be able to set different sound from its notifications AND alerts (option to not using the system sounds).

Unfortunately, anything older than version 60 is unsupported and will not be updated. By extension of the system requirements document, Mac Pro also isn't supported.
