Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:66.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/66.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open new (empty) tab.
  2. Middle-click a link in the "Most visited" menu.
  3. Quickly switch to a previously open tab.

Actual results:

The link clicked in the "Most visited" menu replaces the tab just switched to.

Expected results:

The link clicked in the "Most visited" menu should have opened in it's own tab.

Hi,

I cannot reproduce this issue on Firefox 66.0.4 (2019-05-04) or Firefox Nightly 68.0a1 (2019-05-05).

Please test if the issue occurs to you in Safe mode. Here is a link that can help you with that:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

If the issue still occurs, please test it using a new profile, you can find the steps to do that below:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Managing-profiles#w_starting-the-profile-manager

Thank you for reporting!

Thanks for your reply. I don't know why (maybe because I restarted my computer), but now Firefox works like expected. You can close this issue. Thanks!
