[Prerequisites]
- Set the preference extensions.htmlaboutaddons.enabled to true and restart the browser
[Steps to reproduce]:
1.Install an older version of an extension (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/to-google-translate/versions/ ).
2.Select Extensions from about:addons.
3.Select “Check for Updates” from the tools menu.
4.Remove the extension.
5.Click on the “Available Updates”
6.Click on the “Update Now” button.
7.Click on the “Update” button from the permissions pop-up.
8.Select Extensions and observe that the removed extension is re-installed.
[Expected results]:
- The removed extension to not be re-installed
- “Available Updates” to not be visible after the extension is removed.
[Actual results]:
- You can go to “Available Updates” and update the removed extension.
- The extension will be re-installed after the update.

This no longer occurs with the HTML updates view which is landing now in bug 1535430.
The unwanted update is no longer shown, but it is still included in the count on the sidebar however. I will file for that.
