RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1548973

People

(Reporter: rodrigo.pimpao94, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:66.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/66.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Today when I opened up Firefox all my add-ons were disabled out of nowhere.

  2. I tried deleting one add-on and reinstalling it from Firefox Add-ons page, as suggested here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-on-signing-in-firefox?as=u&utm_source=inproduct#w_what-can-i-do-if-firefox-disables-an-installed-add-on .

Actual results:

  1. On the Add-on Manager page, I can see the following message for all my add-ons:
"<Add-on name> could not be verified for use in Firefox and has been disabled."

  2. When I tried to download the removed add-on, I got the error "Download failed. Please check your connection.". I also tried downloading the extension directly from the "vendor" website, but the same connection error appeared.

Expected results:

  1. Supported add-ons shouldn't be flagged as Legacy Add-ons.

  2. I should be able to download and install Supported Add-ons.

Please see the blog post linked at the top of the page.
https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2019/05/04/update-regarding-add-ons-in-firefox/

Hotfixes have been available for a few hours, new builds are coming. The issue affects also downloading add-ons from AMO, not just disabling the ones already installed.
