Steps to reproduce:

I'm trying to enter my grandfathers birthday in the calendar:
Create new calendar entry
Whole day
Select any date before 1950 as starting date. For example 1.1.1925.

Actual results:

The year is displayed in two digit format ("25") and when you click on the little down-arrow next to the date the year is 2025.

Expected results:

Year should be 1925.

Works for me using Thunderbird 60.6.1 with Lightning 6.2.6.1 (English Thunderbird on German Windows 10 system). But on my system the date format is DD.MM.YYYY and for me the year is correctly displayed as 1925. Your problem might be specific to the date/time format used by Thunderbird or the operating system, the localization language of Thunderbird, the selected timezone or something else. What are your settings for date/time format, localization, timezone?

On my wifes Windows 7 computer it does work too. On my Kubuntu 18.04 I have this problem. TB with German localization. Timezone is GMT.
