User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:66.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/66.0
Steps to reproduce:
Updated to latest FF, 66.0.4 earlier today. Win 7 Home Premium, recently updated; AMD A6-3670 APU with Radeon HD Graphics, 2.7GHz; 16GB mem; 64-b OS.
Actual results:
I did not touch anything. In-browser characters changed randomly after about 30 seconds. Refreshed page, tried again, same. Same on another system. FF did not report anything.
Expected results:
Nothing. Display should have remained as-is. As a systems developer (semi-retired) with 50 years experience I recall seeing this in 70s/80s on old systems. It was usually a stack overflow issue. My systems and servers are okay. Checked. Apologies, did not take screen shot. Since upgraded to 66.0.5. As an aside, lost sessionstore backups too, so could not retsore 50+ tabs of research. Plugins reappeared after update: conflict?
Marking as potential security hole, just in case it reveals a back door.
Good wishes...

Hi Mike,
Just to be clear, now after the update to Firefox Release version 66.0.5 the issue is no longer displayed?
Yes, issue no longer present in Win 7 systems. Have not checked my Linux
(Deb9) systems.
