Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:68.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/68.0
Steps to reproduce:
Set Home page to be Firefox Home. (about:home) Set default search engine to Google. Click in the search bar displayed in the main area of the page. (NOT the address bar or the search bar to the right of that) Start typing anything.
Actual results:
Cursor jumped to address bar with the @Google for text input.
This behavior only exists in Firefox Nightly 68.0a1 (2019-05-08) (64-bit) and has been that way for at least a month. I've double checked settings between Nightly and Firefox 66.0.5 (64-bit) and can't find a setting to explain the issue. Tried with add-ons disabled (safe-mode) with no change.
Expected results:
Text input should have stayed inside the search bar as is the standard behavior in Firefox 66.0.5

hi, that was an intentional change - for now it's only enabled in nightly though (& can be controlled through the browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar preference).
