Bug 1533211 landed a crastest with file encrypted-track-with-bad-sample-description-index.mp4
. This malformed file has an encrypted track that contains a fragment with samples that reference a non-existent sample description. Bug 1550577 suggests that this new test file is leading to crashes on Android.
I plan to disable testing that file on Android. This bug tracks investigating why the file is problematic on Android and fixing any issues discovered.

John, do you have any idea what might be going on here (and in bug 1550577)?

As Geoff said, it looks like the OOM killer began to kill processes at 1x seconds after the test started. There is no log indicating why OOM happened, but it's likely that the old buggy SW AVC/H.264 decoder fails to handle the bitstream and brings down the system with it.
