Steps to reproduce: 1. Load the testcase. (You might have to save it to disk.) 2. Reload a bunch of times. Result: iframe background is sometimes transparent, sometimes opaque (white). Expected: the iframe background should always be opaque, because the iframe content doesn't specify that it is transparent. According to Hixie in bug 154957, this bug doesn't occur on Linux. I see it on Windows XP on about 50% of reloads.

Reproduced bug on linux trunk cvs 2002-06-30. Sometimes it seems to get stuck in either opaque or transparent 'mode' for an unlikely long time (like 20 repeats) for it to be random; sometimes it changes on nearly every reload... go figure :)

The expected behavior is that the IFRAME should always be transparent. I suspect is with someone using uninitialized data...
This does occur on Linux for me.

http://www.hixie.ch/tests/evil/xml/010.xml seems to show a similar problem. Is it the same one?
the problem described by the description (that is, transparency on an iframe when no transparency is defined) is also a problem.
real-life example at http://arstechnica.com/etc/subscribe/premier-agreement.html

Joe: that is not a bug. See bug 154957 for details.

Marking WFM because the change bug 154957 refers to makes this irrelevant.
