User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:66.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/66.0

Steps to reproduce:

Every time I want to watch a live stream on YouTube (since maybe a few months), from ~30 seconds to ~10 minutes of watching. Maybe it doesn't happen at all...

Actual results:

The live stream disconnects and displays the error in the screenshot attached. I can't see the RAM being overloaded, the CPU or GPU going up in performance usage.

Expected results:

It shouldn't stop the playback suddenly.

(by the way, I've seen a few people in the chat talking about having the same issue as mine...)

Thanks for the report! Testing in Firefox 66 for Windows 10, I was unable to reproduce this issue. I tried a couple different streams and left it playing for about an hour.

A quick google search shows that this error appears in multiple browsers. I wonder if it's something on YouTube's end?

Maybe you could try testing this out running Firefox in Safe Mode?

It's hard for us to take any action without a (somewhat) deterministic reproducible test case. I think the best path forward here could be to report this to Youtube, and if need be they can report any bug on our end to us.

Adding ni? for Adam's safe mode advice above. Doing it in Firefox Nightly could also provide a useful datapoint.

Hey, sorry I completely forgot to respond to your messages...
Yeah it seems like it is more on YouTube's side, and I watched another stream a few days ago, had the same issues, but after a few retries, it went completely well, and the livestream was playing flawlessly.
I don't think we can do anything about this...

Sounds like a site issue then? Close as WORKSFORME?
