Can you provide more information about when you are running into these issues? The code I see in the latest version looks fairly clean, though based on the permissions it could be that there is removed code.

It changes the existing search engine due to the extension. But it is right what you write. I was asked beforehand if I wanted to. I guess I clicked on "yes". I was too hasty here to set a block request.
