From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.1a) Gecko/20020611 BuildID: 2002061104 My doc comprised of a single JPEG I received over e-mail - opened in Mozilla by clicking the JPEG attachment in Outlook. I seem to be losing about a 3rd of the physical paper's width & close to 40% of its height. "Microsoft Photo Editor" prints it correctly - I think this editor comes with Office bundle. Page Setup dialog of Mozilla shows "0.5" margin on all 4 sides - don't know which units, but it certainly is much more than both 0.5 cm & 0.5 inch. Am printing on an HP Printer over LAN - driver on my m/c says "HP Laserjet 6P/6MP". Also, "Date/Time" as right footer that is default in Mozilla Page Setup gets clipped - Mozilla tries to print it beyond physical paper limits (this date/time clipping used to be a bug in Netscape 4 too - I think even Netscape 4.7 had it but am not sure of version). PS: Can not attach the specific JPEG with this bug report. It's my pay slip. But it's one full A4 size page. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1. See above.
Take the JPEG that doesn't print (your pay stub) and fill it with very light gray and see if it caues the problem (it should) and then attach that JPEG.
Destroyed contents of my original JPG by editing it in Paint; greyed the background from original white; converted resulting bmp to JPG. Printing is still not good but results are *different* from the ones before this editing! I now see margin of nearly 2 inches at the bottom of the page; right side is about 0.5 inch; top is may be 0.6 or 0.7 inch; left is may be 0.9 inch. Page Setup dialog still shows 0.5 as margin on all sides. Date/time as right footer still gets clipped (of course).
i think the default settings are ok, 12.7mm here, that should fit most printers ... mozilla is simply adding a much wider margin which you cant change ! hunting for the correct bug now ...
