I have my default serif font set as Garramond, and my sans serif font as
Verdana. I set the default font to be the sans serif (and, hence, Verdana).
However, everything is coming up in Garramond. I've tried fiddling with all of
the settings (including the document override radio button), and nothing changes
- all pages which don't 'hard code' the font face come up in Garramond.
I'm using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.1a+) Gecko/20020630.

Evan, by chance have you had Mozilla crash on you recently? I ran into the
exact same problem 2 days ago. After Mozilla crashed, all the fonts were
rendered as serif no matter what. I tried restoring an old prefs.js file, but
that didn't help. One way to fix this that I know of right now: make sure you
remove the mozilla\bin\defaults and mozilla\bin\components directories and
reinstall. Creating a new profile might do it, too, but I haven't tried that.

Reporter, what character encoding does your Mozilla use (view menu/
character encoding)? Is sans serif set as the default type style for
that character encoding?
