Steps to reproduce:
CPU usage 1-5% while idle, but jumps to 18-22% while typing an email or while scrolling the email messages. Words appear about 2-3 seconds delay, which is really frustrating. I see that the version is noted as (60.6.1 (32-bit)) , but my system is Windows 10 Pro x64. Tried with disabling the add-ons but did not help. I don't have problem with any other application.
Actual results:
Too too Slow, CPU Hungry. Attached my troubleshooting notes that is copied from Thunderbird
Expected results:
Should not be sluggish and should not be hungry on resource.
Please fix, i really like the email and this is making me really frustrated.

Start Windows' safe mode with networking enabled - win10 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12376/windows-10-start-your-pc-in-safe-mode
Still In Windows safe mode, start thunderbird in safe mode - https://support.mozilla.org/kb/safe-mode-thunderbird
Does problem go away?
- If no, then cause is either: bug in Thunderbird, something (eg a setting, file or folder) in your Thunderbird profile, your mail provider.
- If yes, then (still in Windows safe mode) ... start Thunderbird normally
-- If problem is still gone, then cause is a program loaded during windows startup. Possibilities include: antivirus SW, virus/malware, background downloads such as program updates
-- If problem is came back, then cause is likely a Thunderbird addon - eliminate them by disabling each one at a time in Tools | addons | extensions and restarting - If results are unclear ... possibilities include temporary conditions such as contention from other running programs, downloads related to windows update, ...
