Currently once the certificates are configured, there is no way to unconfigure them except through the manual editing of the prefs file.

In the security account settings pane, you should be able to select the cert text and delete it.

jglick, thanks for your suggestion. I have integrated it into the patch I attached to bug 115294.

Things changed, we will not land the patch with bug 115294 that I originally thought I would be able to land. Stephane suggested that a clear button would be a prefered solution to clear the configuration, because if we allowed the user to erase the text by selecting and deleting, this would mean the edit field is editable (it is currently read only), and as a side effect the user would also be able to type into the cert name box. However, we don't want the user to type into the box. The latest patch in bug 115294 now uses clear buttons.

Reopening - Clear buttons are not present on the Mac OSX 20021204 Trunk build.
