• Firefox Release 66.0.5 and above

[Affected Platforms]:

• All Windows
• All Mac
• All Linux

[Prerequisites]:

• Have the "CFR Recommendation" button displayed.

[Steps to reproduce]:

1. Click inside the Awesomebar search field and insert a string.
2. Click the "CFR Recommendation" button and observe the behavior.

[Expected result]:

• The "CFR Recommendation" door-hanger is displayed.

[Actual result]:

• Nothing happens.

[Notes]:

• After following the steps from above if the search suggestions are dismissed the CFR "Recommendation" door-hanger is displayed.
• This issue is also reproducible if the "CFR Recommendations" are triggered from the "about:newtab#asrouter" page.
• Attached is a screen recording of the issue.

I think the user has had enough time to decide if they want to click the notification as the animation expands and is in its more prominent state (the animation cannot happen while the user is typing, it is triggered sooner than that when the page they navigated to has finished loading). It is also possible to expand the notification if the search suggestions are hidden.
