This was initially reported on https://webcompat.com/issues/31248
and creates a webcompat issue on cbs news website.

position: absolute on SVG seems to make disappear the SVG icon.

not sure why and if it is a bug from Chrome or Firefox.

Chrome now behaves the same as Firefox -- the SVG icon is not visible by default, but removing position:absolute makes it appear.

Also, the reported bug no longer reproduces on Fenix, perhaps the site updated?
