Note

• When the user reaches youtube for the first time on a profile, he will notice the privacy reminder that needs to be reviewed. While the reminder is still displayed at the top part of the youtube page and the user opens a video and makes it full screen, he will notice that a white rectangle is displayed above the playing video. On other browsers, this rectangle appears to be retracting top and out of the screen when the video is made full screen.

Affected versions

• Nightly v69.0a1
• Beta RC v67.0
• Release 66.0.5

Affected platforms

• ARM64, Lenovo Yoga C630, Win10, on aarch64 and 32bit builds.
• AMD desktop test machine, Win10, on 32 bit builds.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open the browser with a new profile.
2. Open www.youtube.com (The privacy reminder is displayed at the top part of the content area).
3. Open a video and make it full-screen.

Expected result

• The video is properly displayed and centered.

Actual result

• A white rectangle is displayed at the top if the video, pushing the video down out of the screen.

Regression range

• Seems not to be a recent regression.

Additional notes

• This issue appears to be specific to the aarch64 and 32bit builds.

I've tried to open youtube on Win10 by using Nightly 69 with a new profile, but the privacy reminder didn't show. Is there any specific step to let website to show the privacy reminder?

I have highlighted the reminder that you should see with red. It should appear at any time you open Youtube with a fresh profile.

Furthermore, I have to mention that it reproduces constantly (every time) on 32bit and aarch64 builds, but it also reproduces on 64bit builds in about 1/10 tries.

It sounds more like a graphic or layout issue, not sure what component I should move this bug to.
Maybe let graphic folk to triage this bug first.

I'm unable to get the privacy reminder as well. Could you attach a screenshot of the issue (when you bring the video fullscreen and see the white rectangle)?

This is the reproduction of the bug. Interesting that you can't see the privacy reminder in a new profile; might be region related.
