Calendar bugs get filed in the Calendar product. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/describecomponents.cgi?product=Calendar
So you Dismiss the reminder and it occurs again, or you can not Dismiss the reminder, but close the window with the close "x" and it occurs again?

I can select either event and it will show the "Snooze for" and "Dismiss" button for the event selected.
I don't get the reminder again once the time set for the reminder has passed if I use the close "x" in the window.
I did get the popup a few minutes later after using the close "x".
Thanks, I am absolutey new here, I was advised to submit this bug to bugzilla.
To your question:
I can neither dismiss nor dismiss all reminder. I close the window with "x" and it occurs again. Des this help?
Just observed: This problem occured within a non repeating date too. Additionally I can not delete the reminder by editing the date and saving it. It does not save the change, the reminder is still there.

I don't know why you can't "Dismiss" or "Dismiss All", but I'll confirm the bug since I see the same behavior when testing.
Do you have any other calendar extensions that could be interfering? Try disabling them, restart Thunderbird and see if that helps.
What type of calendar are you experiencing these problems with? Sounds like not being able to edit an event would be a "Read Only" calendar and a different problem, but not a bug.
It is a CalDav Calendar on my synology NAS using DSM 6.
Disabling Calendar Addons does not help.
I can delete such an event in TB, but this event won´t be deleted then on the server (just saw it few moments ago) but in TB added events will added on server as it has to be. So read only is not possible.
Taken together:
- no Addons involved
- modifyiong events in any kind is not possible
- deletion of events within TB results only in local deletion without error message
- adding events in TB results in adding events on server.

Thanks for that information.
My testing to confirm the bug was done with events created in the default Home calendar on the computer in Lightning.
Hopefully some calendar developer will provide some feedback.

Reporter,
Are you still having problems with this using Thunderbird 68.5.0?
