From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.0.0) Gecko/20020530 BuildID: 2002053012 In some documents, whenever I switch from the Normal tab to the Source tab, extra newlines are added in certain places (the URL I gave shows an example, look at the source); possibly it is in the switch from Source to Normal. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Get the page at http://www.ling.gu.se/~mgunnar 2. Save it in html to disk 3. Open it in Mozilla Composer 4. Go to the source tab. 5. Delete the unnecessary newlines. 6. Switch to the Normal tab, and then back to the Source tab. Actual Results: Extra newlines show up at different places. Expected Results: NOT add anything I have not told it to add.

Duplicate of 'switching between "normal" and "html source" adds spaces' (this is fixed, but the fix is not in 1.0; it will be in 1.1). *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 46227 ***

Resolution: --- → DUPLICATE
I don't think this is a duplicate of 46227, because 46227 is marked fixed, and this bug STILL EXISTS IN 1.1 (Build 20020826). It affects tags including META, /TITLE, TABLE, /TABLE, STYLE and BR. It appears only when "Retain Original Source Formatting" in Edit/Preferences/Composer is selected. I have a test case that demonstrates it. Email me if you want it, or more details. THIS BUG SHOULD BE REOPENED, or marked as a duplicate of 145196 instead, which is still open.
