From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.1a+) Gecko/20020701 BuildID: 2002070108 My address book is ordered as in the following: "Show Name As -> Last, Fisrt" "Sort By -> Name" So I have an address book sorted by "Last Name" When I print the address bok the name is printed "Last Name, First Name" but is sorted by "First NAme" Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.add a card in the address book First name=Carl last name=Louis 2.add a card in the address book First name=Bill last name=Gates 2.show name as Last, First 3.Sort by Name 4.Print address book Actual Results: --------------------- Card for Gates , Bill --------------------- Card for Louis , Carl Expected Results: --------------------- Card for Gates , Bill --------------------- Card for Louis , Carl
Bug 118900 says address book printing is completely unsorted (addresses appear in the order they were entered in). Reporter, are you sure the addresses are sorted at all when printing, perhaps you had entered them in alphabetical order by first name?
Summary: print address book always sorted by first name → print address book always sorted by first name
I agree with comment 1, printing seems to be in record order and not sortable. Verified in current build 2002102908. The reporter's example makes no sense. Actual = Expected. No response from reporter. Old build. Suggest marking INVALID
I also see sorting by entry as bug 118900 describes. Marking WFM.
