I recently found out that Firefox shows items that have nothing to do with my browsing history in the Windows jumplist after clearing all browsing data. Some files used in Windows explorer or VLC are shown although nothing should be displayed since all history is cleared.
This faulty behavior could be linked to my PC being recently updated to the May update (1903) since I never encountered this issue before.
Two additional comments : I installed the May update approximately at the same time than Firefox 67 so I don't know exactly which of the two is faulty. I also noticed that the shown files may be linked to my Firefox's downloads (which would normally also be cleared when clearing browsing date) but I'm not sure.

Could you please check if the history sidebar (CTRL + H) shows any leftovers?
Could you please also check if running Places Database Integrity from about:support helps solving the problem?
I actually didn't test this with the May Update, it didn't apply to my system yet, so we should test again on Windows 10 May update next time.
I will try to reproduce it and check both the history sidebar and the Places Integrity check. It's kind of an edge case and I wasn't able to reproduce it manually until now. I will keep you posted.

I updated to the May Update. I cannot exactly reproduce this bug, I just see a delay in updating the list.
I don't see unknown/random/unexpected things though.
Regarding the delay, the jumplist updates every browser.taskbar.lists.refreshInSeconds, that defaults to 2 minutes. I wonder if the problem was an update while history was still being cleared.
We don't have enough information to debug this though, because we don't know if there were leftovers in your history, nor if the db is corrupt.
Feel free to reopen if have additional info for us, based on previous questions.
Sorry not to have answered more quickly. The issue is really hard to reproduce. I've been able to do it once recently. I have removed the remaining items (likely two previous downloads) manually so I couldn't check whether they would disappeared after some time. The rest of the jumplist items (history) is always cleared immediately. They were no history leftovers in the browser library and the database doesn't look to be corrupted.
I will try to look for more precise STR.
