Hi Luis,

I cannot reproduce this issue using Firefox Nightly 69.0a1 (2019-06-14) or Firefox Release 67.0.2 (2019-06-07)

Please test if the issue occurs in Safe mode. Here is a link that can help you with that:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

If the issue still occurs, please test it using a new profile, you can find the steps to do that below:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Managing-profiles#w_starting-the-profile-manager

Thank you for reporting!

Peter,

I'm afraid this is still the case on the last build available to ubuntu's PPA (69.0a1hg20190613r478627-0ubuntu0.19.04.1~umd1), although it's way less pronounced than with the build I originally reported this on. The flickerin is gone except when moving the mouse pointer up and down the controls, seems to happen the first time a control is hovered. Also when going from full screen to in-page, and otherwise.

It happens with both Basic and WebRender compositing too.

Does this issue still happen to you on the latest Firefox Nightly?

Funny you should say that, after the last update (69.0a1hg20190703r481084-0ubuntu0.19.04.1~umd1) it doesn't happen anymore.

Since the issue does not occur anymore, I'm going to close this issue.
Should the issue arise again, feel free to re-open the bug.

Thanks!
