Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Any website in view Responsive mode.
  2. outer scroll the site goes down
  3. browser tabs behinds the responsive screen.

Actual results:

http://prntscr.com/o0dlto

Expected results:

http://prntscr.com/o0dlto

Component: Untriaged → Responsive Design Mode
Product: Firefox → DevTools

I'm not able to reproduce this. Your expected and actual results point to the same image. Would you please describe again your steps to reproduce? We have been working in this area lately and it's possible that Firefox Release may not have the error, so you may be able to get a "expected" screenshot from that.

Please check this video

The site in the video is www.xonecole.com. I still can't replicate the bug as demonstrated in the video or screenshot. It may be a compositor issue. I've tested with the pref "gfx.webrender.all" flipped both on and off and can't replicate. I'll keep trying.

And to clarify the Steps to Reproduce, the bug appears in the screenshot and in the video under these conditions:

  1. Open Responsive Design Mode and turn Touch Simulation on.
  2. Expand the RDM pane to be taller than the window height.
  3. Scroll vertically in the RDM pane, and also scroll vertically in the UI pane. Some combination of scrolling seems to cause a compositing issue where the RDM content appears on top of the window tabs.

This issue is fixed when I am using windows compatibility setting with window 8 using (window 10)

OS: Unspecified → Windows 10
Hardware: Unspecified → x86_64

The priority flag is not set for this bug.
:gl, could you have a look please?

I am experiencing the same bug. When I scroll down, the white 'overflow' shows (see screenshot at https://gofile.io/?c=dt7eUr ). If I do nothing (no clicking, no mouse movement) for approx 14-15 secs it disappears. If I subsequently activate the window (ie click anywhere outside the responsive view port) it comes back. Again after 14-15 secs of doing nothing it disappears.

Platform: Window 10 (64Bit)
Firefox Version: 67.0.4 (64 Bit)

Severity: normal → S3

you should rather create an issue on https://webcompat.com/ , and tell exactly what is different, providing screenshots so people can understand what's the issue
