Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:67.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/67.0

Steps to reproduce:

Set Firefox 67.0.2 as default browser. (67.0.1 and previous worked as expected.)
Create Twitter Progressive Web App (add to home screen). In Twitter PWA:
Scroll down a ways.
Find a tweet with a link to a webpage and tap it. It opens in the “Powered by Firefox” web view mini-browser thing.
Tap the X or back button to close the web view and return to the Twitter feed.

Actual results:

It goes back to the Twitter feed right where it was. Then ~3 seconds later, Twitter refreshes, going back to the top of the feed and showing new tweets.

Expected results:

It goes back to the Twitter feed right where it was and stays there, so I can keep scrolling.

Context:
Firefox 67.0.2, Android 8.1.0 (Feb. 2019 update), Moto G5 Plus

It also reloads at other unexpected times, though not as consistently as the case above. For example:
Scroll down and find a tweet with link as described above.
Tap the tweet to open the tweet/thread page.
Now tap the link to open the web view.
Tap X or back to close the web view.
Tap left arrow or back to return to feed. Wait a few seconds.
[Twitter feed may or may not reload at this point.]

Occasionally, it has reloaded just while scrolling the feed.

I've had this PWA for quite a while (probably at least a year, so v61 or so) and it only started doing this after the 67.0.2 update.

Hi, I checked the issue with 2 devices: device Samsung Galaxy S8+(Android 8.0.0) and device Huawei Media Pad M3 Lite 10 on Fennec builds Firefox Release 67.0.2, Firefox Beta 68.0b9 and but did not reproduce the issues mentioned in description.

From Comment 1 I managed to reproduce, but it isn't a steady issue, only a couple of times did I reproduced: "Tap left arrow or back to return to feed. Wait a few seconds.
[Twitter feed may or may not reload at this point.]".

I will mark the ticket as new.

Can you provide information on what device and firmware are you using?
